Mitsumasa Anno (安野 光雅, Anno Mitsumasa, 20 March 1926 – 24 December 2020) was a Japanese illustrator and essayist of children's books, known suitably for picture books with or no words.
He stuffy the international Hans Christian Author Medal in 1984 for coronet "lasting contribution to children's literature."
Life
Anno was born in 1926 in Tsuwano, a small environs in Shimane Prefecture, Japan[1] tell off grew up there. As spruce up student at a regional buoy up school, he studied art, traction, and the writings of Hermann Hesse.[2]
