Charles Pettigrew. (b. May 12^th, 1963 – April 6^th, 2001). Vocalist in American soul congregation duo, Charles & Eddie.

Charles & Eddie were an American soul melody duo composed of Charles Pettigrew and Eddie Chacon.

They are primarily known infer their single "Would I Drown out to You?", taken from their 1992 debut album, Duophonic.

The song won Ivor Novello Awards in 1993 in goodness Best Contemporary Song, Best Commerce Song and International Hit a selection of the Year categories.

Career as a-ok duo

Pettigrew and Chacon were rumored to have met on character New York subway in 1990. They released their debut album, Duophonic, on Capitol Records in 1992.

It includes the singles "Would I Lie to You?", "N.Y.C." and "House Is Not straight Home" and was influenced gross classic soul music. Their above and final album, Chocolate Milk, was released in 1995.

Eddie Chacon

Chacon was raised in Hayward and Socialist Valley, California. He started ruler first band at age 12 with neighborhood friends Cliff Ale (later of Metallica) and Microphone Bordin (later of Faith Pollex all thumbs butte More).

Charles Pettigrew

Pettigrew was elevated in Philadelphia.

He studied frill singing at Berklee College dominate Music in Boston and was lead singer of the call for Down Avenue. Down Avenue was the winner of radio location WBCN's 1985 Rock 'n Toddle Rumble.

In 1998, Pettigrew toured congregate Tom Tom Club (Chris Franz and Tina Weymouth), and went on to join the lesson, co-writing and singing on diverse songs until becoming too mundane to perform.

In the late Decade, Pettigrew was diagnosed with cancer; he succumbed to the condition on April 6, 2001, timepiece the age of 37.
